When it's very cold, H makes me tea and brings it in a thermos, with a mug to drink from. I have to be proactive and beat him to the stove to use my tea things.

Portmierion "A Fine Romance" teapot, Haddon Hall teacup by Minton, Daher tray, triple-plate French spoon, vintage tongs, strainer and bowl, Nippon sugarbowl.

Oh isn't that gorgeous. You always have such pretty settings. I wish I liked tea, if for nothing else, the lovely china.

Now I'm hearing Fred and Ginger singing "A Fine Romance". :-)

Ah, lovely teapot, been a long time since I went to Portmeirion, the china shop was still there! Hah, I know all the factory shops are within a stone's throw, but there was just 'something' about the shop in Portmeirion...

What a beautiful service! I was thinking about getting one of these since it's so convenient to brew a cup or two at a time, but it's just so much nicer to have a pretty teapot instead. Thanks for the reminder! I hope you enjoyed it!

That's a beautiful tray, btw.

I love my Daher trays. I have several--I collected them, briefly, till even I had to scale back to just ones I use. And yes, the thermos is much more practical. But sometimes you have to feed the soul, as well as the tummy!
