
H picked up some dried hummus mix at the co-op. A little lemon juice, a little olive oil, some powdered garlic and black pepper, and nom! Ham bits from the baked ham kept to cook with split peas, I pilfered a few for lunch.

That ham was a huge chunk of food budget, but it was such a bargain--a third regular price. We got three dinners for two out of it, several lunch sammiches, and bits for a batch of pea soup that we'll eat on for a week, plus several breakfast omelets.
