I must state for the record that I love the ICU nurses at WFU Baptist Med. Ctr. They know their stuff, and they're good at what they do. StE is running a fever of 104.3, and because it will take the cultures three days to mature, in the meantime they're giving him broad spectrum ABX. They were going to change his intubation from nasal to throat this AM and had given him a updose of sedatives plus a paralytic, but he objected to being "messed with," and his ICP and BP went up--the ICP 30 points. So they made him comfortable and decided to let it go till this afternoon. He isn't making significant progress, but he isn't regressing, either. It's just wait and see.

I hate waiting.
