1. What time did you get up this morning?
9:00 the first time, back to bed until our usual 10:00 autodialer call and hangup. Pretty good for getting to bed at 4:00AM.
2. Diamonds or pearls?
Neither. Jasper, turquoise, hematite, carnelian, moonstone.
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
Sideways. Made me so homesick for wine country. We toured one day while I was in CA last August. But the day was wonderful, the images are strong, and the urge to be back there was stronger still.
4. What is your favorite TV show?
At the moment, Lost.
5. What did you have for breakfast?
Coffee. Probably toast a little later. Maybe applesauce. I've been having a little tummy trouble lately.
6. What is your middle name?
Arline, pronounced Arlene, spelled after my dad, Arlis.
7. What is your favorite cuisine?
I don't know if it has a name—spare, small portions, fresh ingredients, nothing overcooked, much of it served raw. Nouvelle?
8. What foods do you dislike?
All the squashes, zucchinis, etc., unless raw. It's a texture thing. Love but can't digest: tomato sauces, cucumber, peppers, onion.
9. What is your favorite chip flavor?
Don't have chips as a rule. When I do, lime tortilla (with spinach dip! Yum!)
10. What is your favorite CD at the moment?
Tossup between RotK soundtrack and Cirque du Soleil's Dralion.
11. What type of car do you drive?
'95 Camry.
12. Favorite sandwich?
Out? Bacon cheddar burger or Elizabeth's cheesesteak, no onions.
13. What characteristic do you despise?
Fake sympathy or solicitousness, without action or willingness to action to back it up.
14. Favorite item of clothing?
Green Irish wool hooded walking cape.
15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation,
where would you go?
Grande Cache, Alberta, Canada, to see a friend and to tour Alberta. Or Hampshire, England, to visit a friend and see a bit of England. Or San Francisco to see more of the town and visit friends.

Blue and white
17. Favorite brand of clothing?
The only clothing I buy by brand is underwear: Hanes
18. Where would you retire?
For at least a few years, on the road, touring. Been nailed to the floor far too long.
19. Favorite time of the day?
Dawn. So beautiful, so quiet, so full of promise. And sunset. Again beautiful, and a drawing-in time after all the running of the day.
20. What was your most memorable birthday?
Four. I was watching Mom decorate my cake, got too close, leaned on the edge of the plate and upset the cake top down on the floor.

Forsyth County, NC. Details are sketchy, since birthmom isn't around to provide them.
22. Favorite sport to watch?
Championship level ice skating.
23. Who do you least expect to send this back to you?
Laura. She sent it to me.

I have no idea.

Unscented Tide.

Water. Or ginger ale.
27. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I kept Dracula's hours for years, before discovering I actually like getting up before dawn. I'm most productive in the mornings, before I have to be vocal and deal with The Humans. A little lag in the afternoons, and another productive spurt in the early evening. And then it takes me a long time to cycle energy down to be able to sleep, usually between midnight and one AM. I perform best on six hours' sleep per night, but I can manage for a couple of weeks on four or less. I have much trouble staying asleep for more than six hours.

It's been 8½ for years, but with the current foot trouble, is probably a size larger now.
29. Do you have any pets?
One three-leggity beastie, a stripey former feral domestic shorthair, a boycat named TC (for Three-Claw).
