Deena made me new icons, whee!
I'ma HAVE to come up with a new word to express enthusiasm besides whee, with varying amounts of bangs. Boring. As if I wasn't boring enough already.
So. DH had trouble sleeping. He's pissed that the separation isn't going through. He thinks she'll pull the same stuff again, because she has before, no matter that M says they got through to some childhood crap she never would get to before. And she's agreed to counseling, and ... and stuff that sounded all good when he said it. But honestly? I have my own reservations.
But with DH it's also about the money spent on the lawyer, and the loan on the truck, which M may lose, and the fact that both MIL and BIL bought into helping finance a move for M and the kids, and should the situation come up again, should she slip and M want to go through with his threat, she could actually beat him to the punch, since she knows to what extremes he's prepared to go. She's bugged out before with one kid, can't be that much harder with two. H's feeling pretty much like M's cried wolf.
Plus, H "won't see her. She's not welcome here." And absolutely won't go down to visit, so in effect he'll NEVER see the kids or M. What a huge mess. It's why I don't tell him every time they've had an argument. But it was sort of hard not to tell him this time, when I was packing to leave for an undetermined length of time.
He'll adjust, eventually. But in the meantime it's eating him up inside. Things always do. And he won't see a counselor himself and figure out another way to deal with things, no. His solution--his lifelong solution--is to remove himself from the job, friendship, relationship, whatever the stressor. Not a healthy way to live. But he refuses to find another way to cope, so I have to let him muddle through it. Not mine to fix.
IF they work it out and things settle down there, better than before, H should be adjusted by Christmas. I hope.
Anyway, I'm shortly off to lunch with La, and then to the garden center and the bookstore after. Fun! And I got an email from Ly--she's back from her trip and wants to know what's been going on since she's been gone. Ha! Hahahah!
