It's been a while. I'm settled by the front window, watching the snowflakes fall like it's their job, with a throw over my legs and a pot of English Breakfast. Walker's shortbread and French raspberry tartlet. The cream jug is new-to-me, a Christmas gift from a friend.

Putting a tray together and taking photos are almost as therapeutic as sitting down to enjoy it. Thanks, hon.

Thank you! The ritual of putting a tray together and taking photos helps get my mind off other things, for a little while.

Yummy. Your tea pot looks like the sensible type which will not drip too. At a similar time - across the huge pond and many miles -the snowflakes were falling here but I was with a two year old and we stood under the glow of an orange street lamp and looked up to see it best and I felt for a moment like we were in another world (well Narnia to be precise!) We went back for a cup of Typhoo tea to warm up after.
