1. What time do you wake up on weekday mornings?
H doesn't get home till 1:30 or 2:00, to bed till around 3:00, and sometimes I'm still up after he's gone to bed. Then the cat starts trying to get him up around 4:30 or 5:00, so I'll move to the couch and close the bedroom door until around 8:30 or 9:00.

2. Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late?
I get to stay in bed on weekends till 9:00 or 10:00. I hate H's schedule. We both were much happier when he worked 5:00 to 3:00. I like watching the sunrise over my first cup of coffee.

3. Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning?
Pee, scoop the litterbox, check the cat's food and water, wash and refill what needs it, empty the dish drainer, make coffee, filter tap water, scald empty waterbottles, refill and refrigerate. In summer, check the level in the outdoor fountain and fill if it's low, water the deck plants, refill the indoor fountain. All before my first cup of coffee, putting on my glasses or brushing my teeth or dressing.

4. How long does it take to get ready for your day?
Ten minutes


5. When possible, what is your favorite place to go for breakfast?
I love having breakfast at home, on the deck if it's cool enough.
