TC is still unnerved by the sound of hard rain. He'll hide from it as soon as he'll hide from thunder. But it's a nice, gentle rain tonight, and neither he nor I actually noticed it above the sound of the computer fan and the low strains of the stereo. But when he hopped up in his bathroom window hammock as I scrubbed the tub and toilet, we saw that the window was wet. I'd closed it earlier because of a cold wind from that direction. He meeped at me, so I opened the window.
Every now and then, as long as it doesn't actually get his hammock wet, nor his fur, he likes the window open when it rains. The gutter runs just above the window, and when it's full, it drips down the window screen. TC licks the screen dry with some obvious enjoyment. I think he likes the "wild water" as it's falling from the sky, as a change from the tame stuff that comes out of the tap.
Or maybe that's just a fancy of mine.
