There's a curve inward at the base where the skull joins the neck. There should be a curving outward above that joining spot. My crown, the swirly spot, is low on the back of the head, and the skull falls almost straight to the join at the top of the neck--no curve. Folk wisdom has it that "good babies," ones content to lie placidly on their backs until they learn to sit, and while their skull bones are hardening, will have flat heads. Much like the Flathead infants who spent their first year in a cradleboard.

It's really hard to tell when someone has longish hair. I've seen pictures of you in your angled bob, my love, and you have a lovely curve to your skull.
